On November 11 Evercity CEO Alexey Shadrin took part in the Open Climate Dialogue “Digital automations to scale climate bonds and community-based projects organised” representing Climate Chain Coalition. Alexey elaborated on the role of blockchain in scaling sustainable finance and revealed a short demo of the end-to-end green bond open source protocol to be presented later this year. Together with Truman Semans from OS-Climate, Tony Lent from Capital for Climate, Katherine A Foster from Open Earth Foundation, and Martin Wainstein as a moderator we have explored how digital infrastructure could be used to achieve global climate goals, what steps would be needed to scale up the digital finance technologies, and what are the main challenges of using blockchain for achieving the climate goals and many others.

The Open Climate Collabathon is an open event mobilizing a global network of Universities, civic tech groups, startups and young people to crowd-develop an integrated climate accounting platform, designed to help the world track and achieve the goals of the Paris climate agreement by leveraging state-of-the-art digital technologies. The event was brilliantly organised by Yale Open Lab.
